Canada’s various policy worlds, which regulate our systems, are a key intervention point and important potential partners for any major social change. It is a core area of focus for SiG, and the partners have concentrated efforts at all levels of government in Canada, championing the development of policies to more effectively support social innovation.
Multiple partners in Canada, in and across sectors, are committed to seeing social innovation embedded in the mainstream innovation agenda, especially of our provincial and federal governments. SiG’s efforts have sometimes been focused outside of the political strongholds, but we have also been fortunate to collaborate directly with government partners to develop networks, strategies, workshops and resources for those working towards public sector innovation from the inside.
